Hello Friends- I’m blogging from the World Congress of Families IX this week in SLC, UT. I got off to a slow start with the WIFI not working at the Grand America Hotel, yet I am not deterred!!! I have found solutions and here we go….
The World Congress of Families is the “World’s Premier, Pro-Family Gathering”. There are 3000+ gathered today through Friday to discuss issues and trends impacting families around the globe. I’ll be sharing information from each session that I attend. What I have found most interesting so far are the various organizations that are here exhibiting as well. I will give summaries of their efforts also.
The opening session was inspiring and wonderful with entertainment by a children’s choir dressed in costumes from around the globe, which reminds us of the world wide nature of our topic, the family. Jenny Oaks Baker and her children also performed and were inspiring as they played an instrumental version of “Love is Spoken Here”.
You can follow the happenings of the event on social media with #familylightstheworld and/or #WCF9.
