The Reverend Rafael Cruz, Director, Grace for America, “Empowering the Faithful to Restore the Family”, speaking at World Congress of Families IX SLC 2015. My notes from his speech:
Do you realize that America is the only country on the earth founded upon the word of god. The bible says , if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do. The greatest threat is secular humanism. The humanist manifesto, signed by John Dewey, considered the father of education. The humanist movement has been intertwined into our public school system since 1943. Then prayer was banned in schools. Now the bible is banned in schools. One of the first bibles printed in American was printed by congress to be used as a primary text in primary schools. Here is the sad thing… in spite of these things, the church remains silent. Teen pregnancies sky rock. The supreme court declares legal abortion. The church remains silent with the excuse that it is a political issue. God help us, the blood of those million and million babies cries out to us. Then this year the supreme court has legalized same sex marriage. Those 5 justices decided that God was wrong. Genesis says that God created man and woman in his image. Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. For this reason shall a man leave his mother and cleave to his wife. That decision was to bring about the destruction of marriage. If this decision doesn’t become checked it could destroy America because the family is the fundamental unit of society. so goes the family, so goes society. There have been political reasons for these changes. Currently, families who are split are rewarded with financial benefits to the family that would not be given if the family stayed together. The challenge with all of these things is that the church has been silent. He that justifies the wicked and he that condemns the just, both are an abomination to the Lord. Are you silent? Silence is justifying the wicked.
Silence in the face of evil is evil itself. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will judge us for our silence.
We have been duped into this idea of separation of church and state. Look at the scriptures and you will see this. When God provides a righteous King and their is prosperity and good. When there is a wicked king, there is idolatry and downfall and suffering. The prime ministry of all prophets is to call the King to repentance. We have too many preachers hiding behind their pulpits worried about loosing their churches and not being politically correct. We need to worry about being biblically correct more than being politically correct.
They are calling homosexuality a civil right. On that basis would it be possible for a homosexual to come to your church and demand to be hired. If you refuse you may be slapped with a civil rights lawsuit. This is happening to private individuals. Kim Davis was shackled for this. What we see in America right now is an outright attack on Christianity. We must stand for our faith or we will answer to God. Jews are not required to work on the sabbath. Muslims are not required to drive alcohol. This is an attack on Christians.
If we as a people of faith remain separated from society, we will see our faith trampled upon. When the righteous are in power, the people rejoice. When those people are in authority we have prosperity. When those who trample these principles, we have got mourning, chaos and poverty. If the righteous are not voting or even running for office what is left. The wicked, the wicked, the wicked and it becomes our fault.
We must take the leadership! We must recruit men and women of God to run for office. We start by prayer and humble ourselves to pray and seek his face and seek the help of heaven. Look at the ministry of Jesus. He prayed all night, then we get off the mountain and get to work being god’s ambassador and his feet and hands. It is up to us to restore America to its rightful glory!
